Neurofeedback

What is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is a safe, non-invasive way to train the brain to be more relaxed, calm, alert, and focused. Sensors are placed on the scalp, and they record brainwave activity. This information is transferred to the computer. When the software recognizes the client becoming more relaxed, calm, alert, and focused, the software rewards the client with video and sound. As soon as the client loses focus or becomes anxious, the video and sound stop playing. The client practices how to be more focused, calm, and relaxed during the sessions.
We are the highest-rated Neurofeedback clinic in Canada according to Google Reviews.
Our clients consistently report exceptional experiences, resulting in the highest Google Review rating of any Neurofeedback clinic in Canada. This reflects our commitment to quality care, client satisfaction, and evidence-based practice. We take pride in providing a supportive, results-focused environment where clients feel heard, respected, and confident in their treatment plan.
We have clinical psychologists on staff, increasing expertise and service quality.
While many Neurofeedback clinics operate without licensed psychologists, our team includes clinical psychologists who bring advanced training in assessment, treatment planning, and clinical oversight. Their supervision ensures every Neurofeedback plan is tailored to the individual’s needs and supported by psychological expertise. Additionally, their involvement means our services can be billed as psychological therapy, making them tax-exempt and eligible for reimbursement through most extended health insurance plans and health-care spending accounts.
Our clinical director is a published Neurofeedback researcher.
Research expertise sets us apart from most clinics. Our clinical director, Dr. Shane Dutt, is a published author in Neurofeedback research. In 2016, he published a paper as a lead author in the psychophysiology journal Biofeedback, showcasing his contribution to the field and commitment to advancing psychophysiological practices. His understanding of Neurofeedback research keeps our practice at the forefront of scientific advancements and ensures our methods remain grounded in evidence-based approaches. You can read more about his bio here.
We have multiple board-certified Neurofeedback practitioners.
Board certification in Neurofeedback is an advanced credential held by very few practitioners in Canada. While most clinics have zero members of staff who are board certified in Neurofeedback, we have three staff members with this internationally recognized qualification. This certification ensures a high level of competence, adherence to best practices, and ongoing professional development in the field.
We use state-of-the-art dry cap technology for more efficient training.
Most Neurofeedback clinics still use “wet cap” systems that require extensive preparation and clean-up, leaving only 25–30 minutes for actual training in a typical 75-minute appointment. We use advanced dry cap technology, reducing set-up and clean-up time so clients can complete 32–40 minutes of training within a standard 50-minute session. This means more time spent on effective brain training with greater comfort for our clients.
